What's the difference between deodorant and anti-perspirant?Updated a month ago
Antiperspirants are products specifically formulated to prevent perspiration (sweat), whereas deodorants prevent you from smelling.
Typically, all antiperspirants are deodorants (they block sweat and deodorize), but not all deodorants are antiperspirants. This distinction is made by one ingredient: if it contains aluminum, the product is considered an antiperspirant. The aluminum used in synthetic antiperspirants blocks your pores to prevent you from sweating and traps it back in your body.
