How long does a bar of soap last?

Our soaps last 2-3 weeks on average with daily use. The longevity differs between households based on a variety of factors — the amount of lather, the amount of body hair, the frequency of use, and the water type. If you're looking to extend the life of your soap, we recommend the following three methods:

  1. It's best to store your soap in a place that will allow it to dry out between uses — we recommend using a Dr. Squatch Soap Saver or Soap Gripper, which can usually double the life of our bars.
  2. After showering, give your bar a little shake before storing it away on the Soap Saver, removing any excess water droplets. *When using the Soap Saver, we recommend placing it in the driest area of your shower or bath area.*
  3. Use a loofah or shower cloth to create your soap lather, rather than using the bar directly under constant running water. If you don't have a loofah, a cheap alternative is to use your man beard or any other body hair. A true Sasquatch may find that this might be the best way to lather up.
